Orange Cake

Orange Cake Recipe





Things needed :

Butter ( soft , at room temperature) - 200gm
sugar - 200 gm
vanilla sugar -1 packet
Eggs - 4
Orange - 1
All purpose flour - 250 gm
Backing powder 1 sp


For Sugar Topping:

Powder sugar - 125 gm


Preparation method :

Grate the orange to get the zest.

Beat the butter well with sugar, vanilla sugar .

Add the eggs one at a time , each time beat for 1 minute.

Add the orange zest and beat well .The flavor should spread well.

Mix the flour and backing powder & add to the mixture using a sieve. You can add the flour in 2 batches.

Mix everything very well .

Pour the cake batter into a greasy spring form .

Bake for 50 min in 175 degrees .

Take the cake out of the oven to cool for some time , 10 min.

Make juice of the orange whose zest was taken.

Make small small holes in the cake using a tooth pick
and pour 3/4 of orange juice into the holes.

Make Topping :
Mix the rest of the orange juice with powder sugar to make the topping of the orange cake .
The mixture should be thick so add as less juice as possible.

Take the cake out of the form and top with the sugar-orange topping.
