Things needed :
Ladies Finger (Vendakka) - a pair , cut round
Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
Chilly powder - 1/4 tsp
Beaten curd - 1 cup
Grind to a paste:
Coconut, grated - 5 tbsp
Cumin powder (Jeera) - 1/4 tsp
Green chilly - 1
Garlic - 1 small pod
For tampering:
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Shallots - 1 cut round
Green chilly - 1 , long cut
Curry leaves - 1 spring
Salt,Oil
Preparation method :
Marinate the Ladies Finger with 1/2 tsp salt & 1/4 tsp turmeric , chilly powder & fry in oil. Set it aside .
From the oil we used to fry remove some oil if it is excess . Splutter mustard seeds. Add curry leaves,shallots, green chilly & fry .
Add the ground paste and a small quantity of water & cook until the raw smell goes. Don't overcook.
Turn off the heat. Allow to cool . Then add the curd, mix and check for salt.
Add the fried Ladies Finger over it.
Vendakka pachadi is ready.
In the preparation u have mentioned to fry cucumber. towards the last its written 'Add the fried bitter gourd over it.'

ReplyDeleteactually the method for making pachadis are all similar. so being lazy I copied from my other 2 pachadi recipes & didn't really check it.
